BRIEF: Update: Series of earthquakes strike StroudStillwater NewsPress, Okla. — Stillwater NewsPress, Okla.
July 14--Just before the work day began Friday, Oklahoma was hit with a series of earthquakes.
The first earthquake originated near Stroud and had a depth of 9.3 km, according to the United States Geological Survey. Its magnitude was initially listed as 4.2. A 3.8-magnitude earthquake followed, and there was a third that has not yet been assigned a magnitude.
Various people on Twitter have claimed to have felt the earthquake in Oklahoma City and Tulsa as well as Stillwater.
